Abraided is a material exploration of a single 11 x 17″ piece of aircraft plywood. The goal was to consider strength and fragility (the opposing characteristics aircraft plywood) through the development of a simple product for home use. The result is a re-configurable series of interlocking loops that can be used as a glasswear hanger, napkin ring, utensil holder and glass jewelry.
